Hello! My name is Katie Maxwell and this is my 9th year teaching. I am a CCHS graduate and attended FHU after high school. I graduated Freed- Hardeman in 2016 where I majored in Visual Arts, Graphic Design, and Secondary Education. Right after college I taught middle school and elementary art in different counties. After a couple of years teaching art, I got my teaching endorsements to teach math. In 2018 I was hired at CCJHS to teach 6th grade math where I taught for 5 years. In the summer of 2020 I received my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. In May of 2023 my husband and I welcomed our little girl into the world. That fall I began to teach Algebra 1 here at CCHS. I have loved teaching math but am very excited for the opportunity to get back to the visual arts.
